Little more than a hay barn close to ruin in 2005, Le Tilleul has undergone massive restoration to become a fabulous holiday home offering all the modern facilities yet retaining its rustic French charm with a light and spacious interior.

Offering three double bedrooms that will sleep 6 to 8 people comfortably.
Entering from the ‘al fresco’ terrace area through French doors you will find the large entrance hall leading to all three bedrooms, these are situated on the north side ground floor therefore offering cooler sleeping conditions on those warm nights.
The bedrooms
Bedroom one offers a double bed with quality bed linen, exposed beams, traditional French style stone walls hand made oak doors and tiled floor.
Bedroom one also offers two built in shelved wardrobes and an en-suite comprising of a large double walk in shower, w.c and Vanity unit.
Bedroom two offers two single beds with quality bed linen, exposed beams, oak door and tiled floor this room also has a built in double wardrobe with shelves ample storage.
Bedroom three again offers a double bed with quality bed linen, the exposed beams and stone walls, oak door and tiled floor and built in double wardrobe.
Also situated on the ground floor is the family bathroom offering full size bath, w.c, vanity unit and a multi functional shower cubicle.
Lounge and dining area
The entrance hall leads on to the gallery stairs. Once at the top of the stairs you will be greeted by the pièce de résistance (so referred to by guests).
The light and airy hay loft with lashings of features from the gallery stairs to the fully exposed roof structure.
At one end you will find the lounging area with the log burning stove, satellite television, dvd and games console.
Central is the reading sofa or chilling chair as it is known and to the left is the open plan kitchen/dining area.
The kitchen is fully equipped with all modern appliances including a double built in oven, large American fridge and dish washer. The dining area is laid out to a large farmhouse table which seats eight.
From both lounge and kitchen, through two south facing French doors, you access a large balcony where you can sit and enjoy the morning chorus of wildlife or on those balmy evenings savour the perfect way to end the day by relaxing with a glass of the local wine.
Le Tilleul pool
You will find the south facing private secluded swimming pool with separate toddlers paddling pool-close by are the changing facilities and loo.
The pool itself is 13m x 6m. At the shallow end you will find the steps which are perfect for children and toe dippers alike, or if you feel like taking a plunge then try the deep end at 2.4m deep.
Surrounded by a large slabbed area where you will find a pool side shower, plenty of sun lounges with side tables, a large table with eight chairs and parasols.
The latest addition to the gite is the large veranda which is a welcome shaded area for those hot days, designed for outdoor living it is laid out with a large hammock, relaxing chairs for those who enjoy to read and dining table and chairs.
There is also an outside fridge and with safety in mind, a selection of plastic ware which can be used at the pool side.
The summer kitchen is right-on-hand - perfect for cold drinks and light snacks. Whilst budding chefs will appreciate the BBQs.
…and at night
At night the pool really comes alive when a series of lights illuminate both the pool area and the veranda. Whilst the under water lights bring out the best of the blue water.
